Macon barber shot in head during robbery

Reported shooting off Mercer Univ. Drive

A Macon barber is in critical condition at Medical Center, Navicent Health after his shop was robbed Tuesday night.

Two men, one armed with a gun, wearing dark clothes with their faces covered entered Draft Day Barbershop, 3706 Mercer University Drive just after 10 p.m.

Terrence Thompson, 39, was cutting a customer's hair when the robbers demanded money, according to a Bibb County Sheriff's Office news release.

During the exchange, the gunman fired a shot striking Thompson in the head, the news release states. The robbers ran from the store after taking an undisclosed amount of money.

The customer, 25-year-old Jamiah Walker, was uninjured.
