South Macon house fire ruled arson

Crews responded to a fire Thursday on Central Avenue in Macon. The fire was intentionally set. 

A fire at a home on Central Avenue in south Macon has been ruled arson.

Macon-Bibb County Fire Lt. Ben Gleanton says rooms inside the home were filled waist high with garbage and tires.

He says the fire was intentionally set.

No one was injured. 

Gleanton says this is the fifth arson fire on Central Avenue in the past two years.

The neighborhood is off Eisenhower Parkway and 2nd Street.
