A Macon man is in the Bibb County jail Monday after allegedly assaulting a woman and threatening to kill her, according to an incident report.
The report says a deputy was sent to 2445 Pio Nono Ave. Thursday morning about an assault.
The victim told the deputy she was giving 28-year-old Gregory Thomas a ride. She said once he was inside the car that he started choking her and hitting her while she was driving.
She said he kept punching her in the face until she pulled over into a parking lot after seeing a patrol car to get help.
The report also says booking staff in the jail heard Thomas call the woman and threaten to kill her once he was released.
Thomas had an existing warrant for affray, and is charged with terroristic threats, simple battery and violation of probation.
