Macon man faces heroin-dealing charge

A Macon man is in the Jones County jail after what the sheriff calls the county's largest heroin bust ever.

According to Sheriff Butch Reece, Dexter Brown, age 43, was arrested Monday night on Mattie Wells Drive.
 
The sheriff says Brown had 28 grams of heroin. Depending on the price, that could be worths several thousand dollars.
 
He's charged with heroin distribution and also with illegal possession of Xanax.
 
The sheriff says Brown has several previous drug convictions.
 
Reece says the case is still under investigation and more arrests are possible.
