Macon man found dead in car from apparent overdose

A Macon man was found dead in the back seat of his estranged wife’s car Monday evening.

According to Bibb County Chief Deputy Coroner Lonnie Miley, 58-year-old Lance Jenkins was found unconscious in the back seat of a car in the 200-block of Clisby Place around 6 p.m. Monday.

Miley says Jenkins’ death is being investigated as a possible heroin overdose since it was reported to them that he had been using drugs prior to his body being found.

An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday.
