Macon woman shot by burglar at own home

A Macon woman shot by a burglar at her own home Saturday is listed in stable condition at a local hospital.

Bibb County Sheriff deputies say it happened on North Nancelon Drive a little after 4 a.m. 

A news release says 27-year-old Alburce Green and 26-year-old Candace Williams were arriving to Green's home when they found the front door open.

Upon entering the house, four men ran out of the house. As they were running, one of them shot Williams in the right arm and side.

They ran away in an unknown direction.

Williams drove herself to the hospital.

No one else was injured.

There are no additional details available on the burglary and suspects at this time.
