Man dead in Saturday night west Macon shooting

UPDATE: The man killed in a shooting Saturday night at a east Macon car wash has been identified as Marquis Reginald Lowe, 19, of Macon.

It's reported that the shooting occurred at about 6:30 p.m. at an abandoned car wash at the corner of Main Street and Jones Avenue, according to a Bibb County Sheriff's Office news release.

No arrests have been made.

A man is dead after being shot at a car wash Saturday night at the intersection of Jones Avenue and Main Street in west Macon.

According to Macon-Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones, the man was shot Saturday evening at a car wash near the Coliseum Medical Center.

He was taken by friends to the emergency room at Coliseum Medical Center and pronounced dead, officials said.

Just before 9 p.m. Saturday, there were two crime scenes - one at the car wash, the other at the hospital.

Saturday's death is the third fatal shooting in Macon this week.
