Macon's New Year's Eve Celebration moves

Macon's New Year's Eve celebration is moving to Cherry Street. This comes after Bibb commissioners approved prohibiting alcohol in Rosa Parks Square. The park where the celebration was held in past years

Cherry Blossom Festival will hold the celebration on Cherry Plaza.

The group says they plan to have a ball drop, fireworks display and a DJ from 9 pm to 12 am. 

Tuesday, Bibb commissioners could vote on giving Cherry Blossom Festival $10,000 to go towards the event.
