Man indicted in Macon convenience store shooting

A Bibb County Grand Jury indicted a Macon man in connection with a convenience store shooting.

Zikeil Ruff, who was indicted on one count of aggravated assault, is accused of shooting a man outside of Melody Magic Mart at 2487 Rocky Creek Road.

According to Lt. Randy Gonzalez with the Bibb County Sheriff's Office, on May 18 police received a call about a man being shot.

When deputies arrived, Gonzalez says they found Richard Smith who had been shot in both legs.

Gonzalez said Smith was in the parking lot of the convenience store near the gas pumps when a dark-colored Dodge Charger pulled up.

Ruff, who was inside the car, began arguing with Smith before allegedly shooting him.
