Man injured as boat jumps water on Lake Tobesofkee

UPDATE:

Deputies found 50-year-old Lloyd Carlson George lying on rocks next to his boat when they arrived on scene around 11:30 p.m. 

Deputy Clay Williams says they don’t know if he was thrown from the boat on impact or if he exited the boat on his own. 

The accident happened on Moseley Dixon Road. 

No one else was on the boat, and no one else was injured. 

George was taken to Navicent Health and is listed in stable condition. 

Williams says the rest of the incident is still under investigation and the cause of the accident has not been determined.

One man was injured in a boating accident on Lake Tobesofkee Tuesday night.

According to Deputy Clay Williams with the Bibb County Sheriff's Office, a man was ejected from a boat when it ran up the side of the lake. 

Williams says when he arrived, the man was lying unconscious on the rocks. He was taken to the hospital with a head injury.
