Man in stable condition after south Macon shooting

A Macon man is in stable condition Wednesday night after being shot twice in the leg.

According to a Bibb Sheriff's Office news release, 27-year-old Darrius Williams was on Knotts St. Lane around 8 p.m. when he was shot in the right leg twice.

He went to a house on that street and asked the homeowner to call 911. He was taken to the Medical Center, Navicent Health and is listed in stable condition.

The release says someone in neighborhood saw two or three men leaving the area in a red vehicle and Williams is not being cooperative with investigators.

Anyone with information about the shooting can call the Bibb County Sheriff's Office at 478-751-7500.
