Milledgeville asking people to conserve water after power outage

The city of Milledgeville is asking people to reduce water usage after a power outage knocked out their water plant for several hours.

They say the plant went down sometime after midnight, but power was restored there at mid-Wednesday morning.

The city says nobody actually lost water service, but tank levels may be down.

They're asking people to cut back on their water use at least through today.

City officials say their water plant is outdated and often breaks down. They're working on a plan to replace it, which could cost up to $25 million.
