It's Saturday, which means SEC fans are catching football fever.
Our Justin McDuffie tagged along at one tailgate party ahead of tonight's University of Georgia football season opener.
It’s Beau Wethers favorite time of the year -- he gets to watch the Dawgs play football.
“Pretty much everybody’s gonna make time to watch Georgia play on Saturday, so you can pretty much bet on having a gathering over here or at somebody else’s house,” said Wethers.
And for Saturday’s season opener against University of North Carolina, it’s was his turn to host. For him, that's cooking crowd favorites for about 30 fans.
“Were gonna make some barbeque, some beef stew, some hash brown casserole, potato salad, baked beans…were gonna have a good Georgia southern spread,” said Wethers.
He says he hopes there is a national championship on the menu for the team later on this season.
“I want the kids to play hard, play disciplined, stay out of trouble off the field, represent themselves and the school well, and just do things the Georgia way,” said Wethers.
With a new head coach and new players on the roster, it's a tough schedule with even tougher rivals.
“The fundamentals will make or break you,” said Wethers. “Play hard, just play hard, and hopefully we'll come out with a W.”
And if they don’t?
“It can make or break your day,” said Wethers. “If Georgia wins, it’s gonna be a great day. If they lose, you’re probably not going to want to have a conversation with too many people.”
For now, all he can do is hope for the best and leave the rest to the players on the field.
