People raise enough money to cremate homeless Macon pedestrian

Mr. Charlie remembered by community

People raised enough money to pay for the cremation of a homeless man killed by a car last week, according to Bibb coroner Leon Jones

Jones says a donation box was set up for Mr. Charlie at the Chevron station on the intersection of Riverside drive and Tom Hill Sr. Boulevard.

People filled the donation box with enough money to cover his cremation costs at Hart’s Mortuary.

Jones says he still hasn't been able to find Brown’s next of kin.
