The district attorney’s office in Winder has dismissed charges against UGA linebacker Natrez Patrick, according to a report from ESPN.
Natrez Patrick and receiver Jayson Stanley were arrested just hours after the SEC Championship -- Patrick on charges of possession of marijuana and Stanley on charges of DUI and possession of marijuana after a traffic stop in Barrow County.
ESPN reports that Stanley’s DUI charges were dropped after a hearing Thursday morning, but his charges on possession of marijuana and speeding still remain.
Patrick’s attorney, William Healen III, told ESPN that Patrick didn’t know the marijuana was in the car.
Photos of evidence show the amount of loose marijuana was smaller than the size of a penny.

Patrick faced dismissal from the team following his third marijuana-related arrest, according to a Georgia Athletic Association policy mandate.
It is not known if Patrick will still be playing in the Rose Bowl game on January 1.
