Reward offered after Dooly Co. warehouse fire deemed arson

A vacant Roseburg Forest Products warehouse fire that happened on Nov. 30 in Dooly County has been ruled an arson.

A news release from the Office of Commissioner of Insurance (OCI) says the fire that destroyed the warehouse off Highway 41 in Vienna was intentionally set.

OCI Communications Director Glenn Allen could not provide details on why they believe it to be an arson, but he did say no utilities were on in the building and that a night watchman was on duty.

Damages from that fire are estimated to cost around $500,000.

Because it’s been deemed an arson, Commissioner of Insurance Ralph Hudgens is asking people with any information about the fire to call his office.

A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information that leads to the arrest of the arsonist.

His office number is 1-800-282-5804
