Robins AFB responds to two emergencies on base Friday

Robins Air Force Base officials responded to two emergencies reported Friday

Both turned out to be false.

Friday afternoon, someone reported an active shooter at the base.

They cleared a building, but Robins spokesman Gregory Cummins says there actually was no shooter.

He said the base did not go on lockdown.

Friday morning, there was a report of a suspicious package.

In this case, Cummins said the package was not a threat.

He says they're not aware of any connection between the two incidents, but they're still investigating.
