Shooting at Macon home

A man is in the hospital after being shot at a Macon home Wednesday night.

The shooting occurred in the 3000 block of Atwood Drive just after 9:30 p.m. 

Shaquille Stallworth, 22, was transported to the Navicent Health Hospital after suffering a single gunshot wound, according to a Bibb County Sheriff's Office news release. 

A witness says three males came to the home looking for the victim. A female came to the door and stated that the victim was not home. Shortly after, a male came to the door and Stallworth answered the door. 

The suspect demanded Stallworth's phone, and he was shot once after attempting to close the front door. 

Stallworth is reported to be in stable condition. 

The incident is still under investigation.
