Showers Possible For The Independence Day Concert

Showers and storms are likely again for today with some locally heavy downpours possible. By this evening and overnight, rain chances will slowly diminish across the area, giving way to mostly cloudy skies.  Temperatures will be warm today in the upper 80s. However, this weekend and next week, heat will build with highs soaring into the low/mid 90s.

A few showers may be around during the start of the Independence Day Concert in Warner Robins tonight.

The doors are set to open at 6 p.m. but organizers say that parking may begin as early as 3 to 4 p.m.

During the afternoon, showers and storms are expected to develop across the area.  While a washout is not expected, some of these storms may produce locally heavy rainfall and frequent lightning.

By the start of the concert at 7:30, any showers and storms should begin to diminish across the area but are still possible.  Some of these showers may produce heavy downpours.

Keep a close eye on this forecast in the coming days for any changes, and bring a SMALL umbrella with you just in case...large umbrella are prohibited.
