Former Mercer law school student Lauren Giddings was dismembered and some of her body parts are still missing, Macon police chief Mike Burns said Wednesday.
He asked the public for help in locating them, including reporting any foul odors.

Burns said they don't know how Giddings died or when.
He said they searched Tuesday in city drains and sewers, but didn't find any evidence there.
Asked how many "persons of interest" police had in the case, Burns said, "We've interviewed probably a dozen people."
Investigators in Giddings' homicide held a news conference to announce that a body found next to her apartment was positively identified as hers.
Bibb District Attorney Greg Winters said that local investigators got DNA test results back from the FBI around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Burns declined to answer questions on other aspects of the case, including when investigators believe she died and what they know about her final hours.
Giddings has been missing since June 25. Last Thursday, Macon police found a body next to her Georgia Avenue apartment complex; Macon police said they believed it was her body but were waiting for DNA results to confirm it.
