When blossoms start blooming, festival action usually follows. But before we run down your festival fun for the weekend, check out these other exciting events.

First up, Mt. Zion Baptist Church on Rivoli Road presents contemporary-Christian recording artist Kyle Matthews in concert. Matthews' songs have won numerous awards, including a Dove Award (which is the Christian-music equivalent of a Grammy). His music has also been recorded by such artists as Vince Gill, CeCe Winans and Ginny Owens. This free concert takes places Sunday at 6:00 p.m. and is open to all! Call (478) 994-0838 for more information.

A murder will take place NEXT Thursday through Saturday at the Austin Theatre in Fort Valley in the annual Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre. An exceptional - and often hilarious - cast paints the tale of a Mardi Gras soiree gone awry. When a prominent coconut farmer invites "friends" from the French Quarter to liven up a party, insanity ensues and someone ends up...murdered! Solve the mystery March 26 through 28 and enjoy exquisite Cajun cooking by Kudzu catering. Call (478) 396-1015 for tickets.

The Cherry Blossom Festival officially kicks off Friday at noon with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at Central City Park. Events throughout the weekend include nightly concerts at Central City Park, the new Sea Lion Splash and Sunday's annual Cherry Blossom Parade. Friday, dance the evening away at the Cherry Blossom Gala at the Macon City Auditorium. Saturday, the Bed Race and the Lawnmower Race are tearing up asphalt in Third Street Park.

Also on Saturday, check out Tunes and Balloons at Al Sihah Shrine Park at 4:00 p.m.. Bring your lawn chairs and picnics baskets for a day of live music, children's activities and much more! The annual balloon glow lights up the night at dusk. This is a free event and parking is $5.00.

Check out the Cherry Blossom 2009 link on the 13WMAZ.com homepage for a full rundown of all your festival fun!

Though St. Patrick's Day is over, Dublin is still celebrating with the 44th Annual St. Patrick's Festival! This weekend, the Arts & Crafts Festival sets up shop in Stubbs Park and the annual parade rolls through downtown. Have a great weekend, Central Georgia!
