Friday, Macon Police closed the investigation into the harassment complaint filed by Elaine Lucas.

Police determined that there was no criminal act committed and the case has been closed, according to Macon Police Sgt. Melanie Hofmann.

Elaine Lucas filed a police complaint Wednesday against WMAC's Chris Krok, alleging that he's harassing her.

Lucas cites a photo on Krok's web site that shows him posing next to her car and a blog comment by a Krok fan that said, "Now that we know which car is hers, somebody bring an RPG (rocket-propelled grenade) to the next parade. :)"

Lucas said today, "It's one thing to say things on the radio. It's another to put a picture of my car on a blog. I can't take the chance that I will be harmed or my family will be harmed."

She says Krok has "repeatedly attacked" her, harangued her at council meetings and stood outside a church service that she was attending, chanting her name with a bullhorn.

She said she's afraid that Krok might inspire "someone on the edge to do some harm."

Macon Police Sgt. Melanie Hofmann said they're investigating the complaint.

Krok says the blog comment can't be taken seriously, because it had a smiley-face attached.

And he said,"If Elaine Lucas is concerned, she needs to take her name off her car" -- referring to her auto tag that says, "E LUCAS."

"She's advertising that it's her car," he said.

Krok says he thinks Lucas' complaint is in response to an ethics complaint he filed against her Tuesday, concerning an off-color email that she sent in response to a critical constituent. Krok said that violates an "ethical city" resolution signed by Mayor Robert Reichert that says constituents should be treated with"respect, courtesy and decency."

The two have sparred almost since Krok arrived at WMAC last year, and other city officials have gotten involved. Lucas tried to get Krok uninvited to a police awards banquet; Krok asked Wesleyan College to rescind an award to Lucas.

Last year, Mayor Robert Reichert jumped into an email battle over the police banquet by urging Lucas to adopt "a Christmas truce" and ignore his attacks.
