People packed into a local fun center Saturday, but not to ride the rides in the nice weather.

Starcadia off of Bass Road in North Bibb County, closed their doors in January because they weren't making enough money, and now are auctioning off everything.

Pool tables, bumper cars, arcade games, and even a defibrillator were all up for grabs.

About 60 people showed up for a chance to buy fun stuff to put in their living rooms or add to their collections.

Auction Game Sales organized the auction and say they've recently seen more amusement parks and fun centers closing down.

"I think the economy has had a huge effect on this industry as a whole. People don't have expendable income to go into fun centers like this and spend money playing video games," said Mark Floyd of Auction Game Sales.

The Starcadia property is also for sale or lease.
