Some people hopped on the tracks for an old-fashioned weekend tour of Central Georgia.

Bob Nobles sent us these pictures of a rail car rally, starting Saturday in Pitts in Wilcox County. These cars are historical railroad work and inspection cars. They go up to 25 miles per hour.

About 70 people climbed into 32 cars and traveled to Rochelle, Abbeville, Rhine and Helena. They turn around in Alamo on Sunday. There they have a safety meeting then travel to Plains and return to Pitts.

They traveled on the cars with a group called NARCOA. They plans trips like this all over the United States and Canada.

Along with dozens of people, Ginger the dog takes the trip. She's logged 5,000 miles on the rail cars.
