The death toll from storms in Kansas and Oklahoma has risen to six -- and more rain is expected Thursday.
Emergency authorities say the bodies of two people were discovered today in a car submerged in a flooded creek in southeast Kansas.
The Missouri couple was reported missing last evening. Authorities believe they were swept into Pumpkin Creek at a low water crossing.
With more rain forecast, flood warnings have been posted along several eastern Kansas rivers.
Storms that have battered Oklahoma prompted the governor to issue a state of emergency Wednesday for counties hit by tornadoes and flooding.
