
A Bibb County Sheriff's Patrolman arrested a man Monday morning after finding about $50,000 worth of stolen electronics in the trailer of his 1987 Chevy pickup.
A news release from the Sheriff's office says they arrested Gary Mallard, 39, of Macon.
According to the release, Mallard was blocking the intersection of Walden Road and Industrial Highway in South Bibb County just before 1 a.m.
The patrolman found 27 flat screen televisions and three home theater systems in the truck and trailer, according to the release.
The release also says the electronics were stolen from NYK Logistics on Avondale Mill Road.
Mallard is charged with false information, no proof of insurance, no driver's license and 30 counts of felony theft by receiving. His bond was set at $11,685 for those charges, according to the release.
According to the release, investigators later added a charge of burglary which will require a separate bond hearing before he is eligible for release. This is Mallard's ninth booking at the Bibb County Jail. His past charges include cocaine trafficking, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and driving offenses.
