Last year, Appling Middle School had to cancel its career fair because of the Mother's Day Tornadoes, but Tuesday, 30 employers, including a few area colleges, attended the school's job fair.
700 middle school students got the chance to ask questions and visit the career booths.
Eighth grade student Allen Moss, who wants to be a doctor, says the fair gives him a chance to learn more about other fields.
"Today, I want to learn about the different opportunities that these colleges have to offer, and even though I have a solid background on what I want to be when I grow up, I just want to learn about all the opportunities they have to offer," said Moss.
Principal Robert Stevenson says the fair gives students the chance to find a field that interests them and helps them plan their career goals.
