It's the weekend Central Georgia! Get ready to experience a revival of amazing entertainment...with a touch of the "good 'ol days."

First on the agenda? A new play at Macon Little Theatre. "On May fifteenth through the twenty-fourth, we will be presenting The Sunshine Boys...one of the better Neil Simon comedies," says director John Jones. "It features Lewis and Clark - a vaudeville team that worked together for forty years successfully and mysteriously split up. They haven't spoken for eleven years and now..." The pair reunite for a variety show featuring the best of vaudeville. Though the show is hilarious, it also offers a touching look at human relationships. You don't want to miss this laugh-a-minute performance!

Call (478) 471-PLAY for tickets and reservations. Catch the show Friday - which is opening night - and Saturday at 8:00 p.m. Sunday's matinee begins at 2:30 p.m.

Now, you hear stories of how - during the heyday of Central Georgia music - folks use to set up on a farm in the middle of nowhere and just start jamming. Before you knew it, you had a full blown festival on your hands. Well, get ready - because it's happening again! This weekend!

Festival organizer Terry Reeves, explains, "We have the 1st Annual Hoopee Jam coming up. It's down near Swainsboro in a community called Norristown. It's (gonna be) a great festival! Down home good time, great music."

Phenomenal Georgia musicians like Diane Durrett take the stage. And she'll be joined by numerous music legends and favorite bands - like Jimmy Hall, the Tommy Talton Band, Randall Bramblett, Blueground Undergrass, and the Yonrico Scott Band - just to name a few. "We expect not only the performance by the bands, but we expect a lot of people sitting in with other people. We've been hearing rumors of that already." Along with three days of music magic, ticket prices include camping. So you don't have to leave until the last song is sung!

You need to visit www.hoopeejam.com for directions to the festival and for loads of other important information. The music kicks off at 5:00 p.m. on Friday and lasts all the way until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday. It's going to be one amazing festival!

And speaking of festivals, here's another one you might want to check out. They're firing up the kilns in Roberta for the annual Georgia Jug Fest and Old Knoxville Days! Browse and buy some of the finest pottery in Georgia this Friday and Saturday. From a community kiln firing to barbecue on the square...there are tons of other activities and events happening during the festival! One exciting new event is an "All Together Now" concert featuring the Darien Geechee Shouters and Due South Bluegrass Band. The concert happens Saturday at 7:00 p.m. at Roberta City Park.

Visit www.georgiajugfest.com for a complete list of events at this year's Georgia Jug Fest.

Have a great weekend! Get out and see what Central Georgia has to offer you and your family. But no matter what you do, be safe and have a great time!
