UNDATED (AP) -- A Missouri man diagnosed with swine flu after traveling to Mexico has died at a St. Louis-area hospital. An autopsy and further tests will be done to determine if the virus killed him or if another underlying condition caused his death. The St. Louis County health director says the 44-year-old man had appeared otherwise healthy.
Health officials say the 20 confirmed cases in Missouri have been mostly mild.
And in New York, tests conducted on a 16-month-old boy who died after being hospitalized with a high fever and respiratory symptoms indicate he wasn't infected with swine flu. More tests are needed to pinpoint the exact cause of death.
The World Health Organization has urged drugmakers to reserve some of their pandemic swine flu vaccine for poor countries, but has received few concrete offers.
Experts say an effective shot against the swine flu is still months away.
