
ATLANTA (AP) -- Residents in Baker and Early counties can now get federal assistance for damage from severe weather that struck the state early this spring.
Georgia Emergency Management Agency officials said Thursday that nearly 60 Georgia counties are now part of a federal disaster declaration for the violent thunderstorms and flooding between March 26 and April 13. Residents in the counties can apply for assistance with their homes and business damaged by the storms.
