A McIntyre man died in an accident while working Friday evening.

Wilkinson County Coroner William Matthews, Sr. said that 24-year old Damien Whipple died when he fell and was trapped under a rail car while working at Rescar Industries in Gordon.

Co-workers tell 13WMAZ that Whipple has only been working with the rail car repair and service company for a couple months.

G.T. Breezley, the Atlanta-area director for Occupational Safety and Health Administration, says they began investigating the accident yesterday.

According to its web site, Rescar is based in Illinois and services and maintains rail cars at more than 100 sites nationwide.
