The Georgia College & State University golf program and head coach Jimmy Wilson are proud to announce their five-tournament fall 2009 schedule.
The Bobcats begin in South Carolina, taking on the Kiawah Island Invitational field from Sept. 7-8. Another trip to the Palmetto State follows a week later, as the Bobcats will compete in Francis Marion University's Raines Development Group Intercollegiate from Sept. 14-15.
The team then rounds out a tough fall in its home state, finishing the month of September with its shortest trip, battling the State Farm Classic field Sept. 21-22. The tournament is hosted by Clayton State University.
October brings two more tournaments, the AFLAC/Cougar Invitational, hosted by Columbus State University Oct. 5-6, and the Mizuno Savannah Intercollegiate, hosted by Georgia Southern University Oct. 19-20.
The 2008-09 season was another stellar one for one of the most decorated programs in school history. The Bobcats took fifth at the NCAA Finals, marking five times in the last six years Georgia College has played for the Division II title under coach Wilson. Two Bobcats reached All-America status in 2009, both juniors Niclas Johansson (Skanor, Sweden) and Pedro C. Lima (Sao Paulo, Brazil).
