The Western Little League All-Stars finished their tournament season on an up note Monday.
The 13-14 year old All-Stars demolished Alabama 20-2 in Southeast District play in Cartersville, Georgia.
The win gave Western a 1-2 record in pool play but that was not good enough to move the team into the semi-final round of the tournament.
Head coach Bunnie Griffin said Monday's win was a good team effort and he was happy his team could finish strong.
Western won the state tournament by going undefeated earlier this month earning the right to play in the Southeast Regional.
