A Georgia Tech associate professor has been arrested on child pornography charges.
John Whitaker with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation says Faiz Al-Khayyal has been charged with 15 counts of sexual exploitation of a child for images found on his work computer.
Al-Khayyal was suspended from the university last week after administrators said he used his computer for "illicit activities."
He is being held without bond in the Fulton County jail.
Al-Khayyal was arrested Tuesday night.
It was not clear if Al-Khayyal has an attorney. A message left at his Atlanta home was not immediately returned.
Al-Khayyal has been a professor in Georgia Tech's school of industrial and systems engineering since 1985.
