Alright Central Georgia, did you know that we've got a group of super heroes - complete with alter egos - living right here in our midst? By day, they masquerade as doctors - curing sickness and fighting disease - but when that last patient leaves...a rockstar comes out to play!

According to one of the aforementioned "superheroes", Dr. Edward Clark, these musical physicians have even formed a group, "Well, Alternative Medicine is a group of Docs Who Rock. We formed about ten years ago...we've reformed and we're ready for action."

In even bigger news, you can catch the Docs Who Rock this Saturday evening at Macon Arts' highly anticipated Taste of Music event in downtown Macon. There, doctors will be cooking up a storm...in more ways that one! "So not only are we gonna have a doctor's band playing," explains Clark, "but we're gonna have food and all the food is prepared by doctors in the community."

From the fabulous food to the medicinal music to a silent auctions filled with amazing items - the Taste of Music has it all! And not only is this one rockin' event, but proceeds benefit Macon Arts education programs and community outreach.

To purchase tickets, call (478) 743-6940 or come by Macon Arts Gallery on First Street. A limited number of tickets will be available at the door.

Now, over at the Galleria Mall in Centerville, other talented Central Georgia entertainers gather to showcase their special abilities. From singing to dancing to comedy improv, it's a talent extravaganza! Event organizer Ms. Legend, of Come Up Productions, says, "We're gonna have the Showcase Live! Where it's one night, 15 contestants and they're competing for a $1,000 grand prize!"

The talent fest and bike and car show happens this Saturday at the old Goody's store in the Galleria Mall. Grab tickets at the door or visit www.comeupproductions.com .

And speaking of talent, you don't want to miss the lovely and arguably talented "ladies" competing for pageant supremacy in Roberta this weekend!

The Crawford Co. Fire Dept. presents the annual Womanless Beauty Pageant to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Public safety personnel from Central Georgia will strut their stuff at the Crawford Co. Board of Education Building this Saturday at 7:00 p.m.

To get tickets to this hilarious, and seriously important event, call (478) 550-4531 or just purchase them at the door.

Now, you all probably read or heard of the untimely passing of iconic 80's filmmaker John Hughes. Well, this Friday, the Cox Capitol Theatre is hosting a Tribute to John Hughes. Catch a showing of Pretty in Pink at 7:00 p.m. and Ferris Bueller's Day Off at 9:00 p.m. It's dollar night at the theatre, so admission is - of course - one dollar. Call (478) 257-6391 for more information.

Alright, get out a just have a little fun this weekend. As Ferris said, "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it!"
