Saturday, more than a hundred bikers revved up and hit the streets to help support a cause.
The Red Knights Georgia Chapter 13 geared up and roared out of Eatonton. They headed northwest to raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
The group traveled to Granite Mountain in Conyers and then headed back to Eatonton to round out the trip. The trip added up to more than a hundred miles.
The Knights are part of the Eatonton Fire Department, and this was their 4th year participating in MDA's Poker Run.
Eatonton firefighter Kathy Yates says she gladly hops on her bike for the cause. "For the kids and the adults that have muscular dystrophy, we just do this to help them try to get their wheelchairs and be able to go to camp and enjoy a week of fun."
The group raised $4,000 on their ride. They'll add the cash to their boot fund and present it at the MDA Telethon.
You can watch the Muscular Dystrophy Association Telethon on 13WMAZ Labor Day weekend.
