BLAIRSVILLE, Ga. (AP) -- Family members of a Georgia woman who authorities believe was abducted last week appeared on two national television shows.
Kristi Cornwell's mother, brother and cousin appeared from Blairsville Monday on both NBC's "Today" show and ABC's "Good Morning America."
Richard Cornwell, the brother, said on NBC that his sister, a former probation officer, has a bachelor's degree in criminal justice and is well suited to deal with emergency situations.
Jo Ann Cornwell, the mother, started crying on ABC as she pleaded with Kristi Cornwell's potential abductors to return her to her family.
Authorities believe Cornwell, who has a 15-year-old son, was abducted while talking to her boyfriend on her cell phone Aug. 11. Her cell phone was found by a man mowing his lawn Friday night.
