The Warner Robins girls are World Champions!

The girls pounded Texas 14-2 Wednesday night to win the World Series title.

The game was called after four innigns because of the ten run mercy rule.

Warner Robins is the first Little League to win both a girls and boys world championship.

The boys won the Little League World Series in 2007.

Carson Carriker banged out three hits for the Warner Robins girls and teammates Caitlin Parker and Avery Lamb had two hits apiece as WR scored early and often en route to the championship win.

Carriker and Lamb both knocked in three runs for the winners.

Kayle Albritton pitched a four inning complete game for Warner Robins.

The Warner Robins girls finished six and 0 in World Series play in Portland, Oregon.

Wednesday's loss was the first for the team from Crawford, Texas.

The Warner Robins girls will return home from Portland on Thursday night.

A celebration is planned at the Warner Robins Little League complex Thursaday night.
