Juan Pablo Montoya is confused by recent run-ins with Kasey Kahne, but says any sort of retaliation would hurt his chances to make the Chase for the championship.
Montoya was hit by Kahne, at Pocono and Michigan, in two of the
past three races. He also noted that Kahne hit Sam Hornish Jr. at
Watkins Glen to start a large accident.
Montoya is seventh in the standings headed into Saturday night's race at Bristol Motor Speedway. He says its too close to the 12-driver Chase cutoff to worry about Kahne, and Montoya must race smart to avoid a lingering on-track feud.
However, once he locks up a Chase position, Montoya vows to be more aggressive.
