A famous Macon native made her way back home Saturday to sign her latest book for hometown fans.

Nancy Grace was born in Macon. She hosts her own show on CNN Headline News and has also published two books.

She held a signing Saturday at Books A Million on Eisenhower Parkway for her newest book and first work of fiction, The Eleventh Victim.

Grace says the mystery thriller, published August 11th, mirrors her life. It follows a psychology student as her fiancé is murdered just weeks before their wedding. The character then goes on to prosecute violent crime.

Nancy Grace said she was happy to be back home in Macon and that she always comes here to hold book signing. "I'm just here to celebrate the book finally coming out, and just couldn't think of anywhere I'd rather be," said Grace.

The author graduated from Mercer University.

"It's such a great hometown connection, because she has a big following at Mercer's law school. So it's nice to know that she still maintains that connection and is still active with us," said Mercer law student Rizza Palmares.
