The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Coliseum Medical center usually celebrates when babies are born, but on Saturday they celebrated their 21st birthday.

The unit hosted its annual birthday bash at Central City park in downtown Macon for children of the NICU, their parents and their siblings.

The event kicked off at noon with lots of food, prizes and fun activities.

"I enjoy it because the parents come here every year to see other parents and other kids grown," said event coordinator, Janet Flanders.

The NICU at Coliseum Medical Center cares for premature and sick babies born in Central Georgia.
