Rev. Jackson Joins Foreclosure Fight

ATLANTA (AP) -- The Rev. Jesse Jackson Sr. is joining the fight against foreclosures.

Jackson is the founder and president of Rainbow PUSH Coalition. The group will hold a a prayer vigil to protest foreclosures at the Federal Reserve Bank in Atlanta Monday.

Jackson's group says Atlanta homeowners should not have to bear the brunt of the mortgage crisis. Rainbow PUSH demands that banks restructure loans.

The vigil proceeds a foreclosure sale scheduled for Tuesday.

Listings from RealtyTrac Inc. recently ranked Georgia among the top 10 in the nation for its number of foreclosures.
