LaBarrie Returns to Georgia Tech as Assistant

Darryl LaBarrie is returning to Georgia Tech to serve on Paul Hewitt's coaching staff.

LaBarrie, who is 30, is a former Georgia Tech player who spent the past two seasons as an assistant coach at East Carolina.

At Georgia Tech, LaBarrie replaces Charlton Young, who left in May to become Georgia Southern's head coach.

LaBarrie is a 2001 graduate of Georgia Tech. He spent two years as a graduate assistant at Georgia Tech while pursuing his master's degree in sports administration from Georgia State. He was an assistant coach at Campbell University in the 2006-07 season.
