A 59-year-old woman faces charges after an accident tied up traffic yesteday on Highway 96.
It happened yesterday afternoon on the bridge between Twiggs and Houston counties. Trooper Jonathon Foskey said Tran Chuong Thi veered into oncoming traffic and smashed into another vehicle head-on. Thi and the other driver were taken to the Medical Center of Central Georgia with non-life threatening injuries.
Thi has been charged with failure to maintain a lane.
Foskey said it took law enforcement about an hour and a half to clear the accident.
