Perry High's Brown Named First Veterans High Principal

The Houston County Board of Education named the first principal of the new Veterans High School Tuesday.

Lionel Brown, the assistant principal at Perry High School, will be the principal at Veterans High when it opens for the 2010-2011 school year.

According the Houston County Board of Education website, Brown graduated from Perry High School in 1989. He was also a social studies teacher and coach at Warner Robins High School from 1994 until 2005.

He was named Teacher of the Year at Warner Robins High in 2000.

Veterans High School is still under construction.
