Alright, Central Georgia - or rather - cheerio old chaps! It's time to rock, it's time to race and it's time to have a ball on the festival circuit. It's time to get your weekend on!

This Saturday, the music of the Dirty Guv'nahs will be rockin' the Hummingbird in downtown Macon. They're a six-man band straight out of Tennessee and they'll be in the house for one night only!

These guys put on a great show folks! And the music is pretty awesome too. The show starts at 9:00 p.m. For more information on the Dirty Guv'nahs, visit their website at http://www.thedirtyguvnahs.com/Home.html . For more information on this and other upcoming shows at the Hummingbird, follow this link: http://www.myspace.com/thebirdstage .

'Tis the season for festivals! This weekend, you've got a couple of big ones...

First up, the Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church in downtown Macon presents the 2nd Annual Central Georgia Greek Festival! Opa!!!

Mike Cantrell has the details on the festival's many, many attractions, "Vendors coming from all over the country. Greek dancers coming. Live Greek music. The works! Food, beer, wine, gyros, pasticcio...all kinds of Greek foods that you can't pronounce."

The Central Georgia Greek Festival is happening this Friday and Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. Sunday, the festivities last from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Admission is FREE! Search for "greek festival" on the 13WMAZ Community Calendar for directions and more information.

Now, let's take it out to Warner Robins where another HUGE festival is taking place this Saturday.

"This weekend, we're having a Fall Festival at Sacred Heart," explains 8th grader Veronica Stanley.

And just what goes on at this Fall Festival, you ask? Games, horse rides, bingo (and bingo prizes!), rock-climbing, kid-friendly rides, performers, festival food, train rides and 2nd grader Britney Yann's favorite - the spinning teacups. She says, "Sometimes people get really dizzy at the end like me!"

That may cover about half the fun. Lots of craft-savvy vendors will be on hand and you don't want to miss Warner Robins' largest rummage sale - Granny's Attic!

The Sacred Heart 43rd Annual Fall Festival is this Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Visit www.shswr.org or call (478) 953-4190 for more information.

All Hallow's Eve - or Halloween - is next weekend. If you're up for some Spirits in October, you definitely want to check out the amazing walking tours and trolley tours through Riverside Cemetery. Costumed actors will tell the stories of very interesting Central Georgians who no longer walk the earth as you stroll through the hallowed grounds.

For more information on the trolley tour - which is happening this Saturday (Oct. 24) - visit www.coxcapitoltheatre.com . For information on the walking tours - which will take place Thursday, Oct. 29 and Saturday, Oct. 31 - call (478) 742-5328.

Now for a bit of theatre! This Friday, Noises Off premieres at Theatre Macon. This hilarious production is a bit different - in a wonderfully farcical way - because it's a play-within-a-play!

"Director" Lloyd Dallas is frustrated by a cast who constantly miss their cues, forget their lines and come to rehearsals a bit inebriated. Sardines, newspapers and doors create havoc on the stage of "Nothing On" (the play within the actual play) and backstage drama upstages the acting action.

The hilarity begins Friday evening at 8:00 p.m. and continues through October 31. Visit www.theatremacon.com for all dates and times and call (478) 746-9485 to make reservations.

Wrapping up the weekend, this Saturday morning get up and strap on those running shoes! Step up for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in downtown Macon. Runners, walkers and everyone in between, Central City Park is the place to be to take part in the fight to end breast cancer. For more information and to register for the race, visit www.komencentralga.org .

So much to do, so little time...a perfect recipe for an awesome weekend! Have fun, be safe and get out and enjoy Central Georgia!

Right now, check out Ben's preview of all of these events in the video to the right...
