A magistrate judge won't file assault charges against a Warner Robins city council member.

William Willis, chief judge of Dooly County's magistrate court, ruled that there was not sufficient probable cause to file an arrest warrant against John Williams. He filed his order in the case Thursday.

The judge last week heard testimony against Williams, accused of terroristic threats and acts in a family dispute last spring.

Williams is accused of assaulting a brother-in-law, his late sister's husband, back in June during a dispute over her estate.
