MORROW, Ga. (AP) -- It was easy for police to identify a man they say stole a car during a test drive because the dealership had made a copy of his ID.

Police in Morrow were looking for Anthony Detwon Smith, who allegedly drove off with a 2008 Dodge Charger Friday.

Police Capt. James Callaway says Smith drove off when the salesman got out to get gas. The salesman immediately called police and an officer spotted the car. Callaway says Smith refused to stop when the officer hailed him and then led the officer on a high-speed chase.

Police say Smith ran the car up on a curb and fled on foot and remains at large.

There was no body damage to the car.

Police are asking anyone with information about Smith's whereabouts to call 770-961-4006.
