MIAMI (AP) -- Fidel Castro's sister says she hasn't heard any reaction from Cuba to revelations in her new memoir that she collaborated for years with the CIA.

Juanita Castro supported her brother's 1959 overthrow of Cuban dictator Fulgencio Batista but began passing information to the CIA in 1961 after becoming disillusioned with the revolution.

She tells The Associated Press that Castro knew she was helping anti-communists but she doesn't think he knew about the CIA connection.

Castro said she hasn't spoken to either Fidel or their brother, Cuban President Raul Castro, since she left the island in 1964. She says relations between the two countries have improved under President Barack Obama, but little will truly change until Cuba moves toward a democratic government.
