Warner Robins' SWAT team removed a man from an apartment building early Tuesday morning, police said.
Police responded to a fight at 212 Granada Terrace around 2 a.m., Warner Robins Police public information officer Tabitha Pugh said. When officers arrived, Robert Walker, 24, of Bonaire, told police he had been assaulted by a friend, Brandon Hall, 21, of Warner Robins, Pugh said.
According to police, Hall's mother told police that her son had left the home and gone to North Lake apartments in Warner Robins.
Officers found Hall inside an apartment there, and knocked on the door, asking him to come out, Pugh said. According to police, Hall refused, and then made verbal threats from inside the apartment, saying he would harm the officers.
That's when the SWAT team was called in to remove him, police said. The standoff ended when they broke down the door to the apartment and arrested Hall around 5:30 a.m., Pugh said.
Hall is charged with aggravated assault and making terroristic threats. He is being held at the Houston County jail in Perry. At this point, Hall has not been formally arraigned, Pugh said.
Walker suffered bruises and swelling. He was treated and released from Houston Medical Center this morning.
